Description
The coffee house is a very friendly and informal gathering of veterans of all ages (from WWII to active service) who enjoy the camaraderie, friendship and understanding of each other. We talk, we have fun, and we learn. Each week the coffee house sponsors a speaker. Topics range from the CT Air Museum historic planes, motorcycle riders supporting Agent Orange health coverage, chair yoga :), veterans benefits, Bob Hope specials, UCONN football, and updates on our military branches. And of course, we serve coffee and homemade baked goods.
The weekly Veterans Coffee House is a program of the Eastern CT Veterans Community Center. It is sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce and the Willimantic Elks.
