I hope this email finds you all well. Many of you have heard about the Customer Service Class we offer
at EASTCONN. Many businesses have shown interest in having their workers attend our program.
Finding the time has always been an understandable challenge. With the uncertainty of what we are all
facing today with many of your staff either working from home or being furloughed, we want to offer our
free Customer Service class remotely. Your employees will be able to complete this course from home.
Each employee will earn their Customer Service Credential through the National Retail Federation at the
end of the 25 hour course.
Your employees will have the flexibility to work on the program at a time that works for them, with
weekly check in zoom meetings during the four week course. Each week employees will be given
sections to complete within that week. We also understand that many employees have their hands full
with their children homeschooling beside them, so this flexible schedule will work best for them.
As a reminder this program and certification is FREE to all businesses and employees in Eastern
Connecticut for a short period of time thanks to the generosity of a Walmart Grant we at EASTCONN
received. We are willing to work with all businesses and current employees.
This is a great time to keep busy and keep your mind fresh with the knowledge that this current situation will end and we will all return to the work force again. We can send all your employees back with fresh new Customer Service skills when they return.
Another exciting thing about our online class is that we have moved it to a Google Classroom platform
that is more aligned with what our public schools are using. This will give parents a way to get familiar
with the way the Google Classroom works and will be able to apply those skills to help their children
learn and grow.
